NOVEMBER 01, 2011 - It has been a very good while since we upgraded and updated!!!! Dark Pony Records is off and running. We have been operating for several months now. With more bands than we have ever worked before the production just does not cease to work. We have eight bands signed, in the studio, rehearsing and writing new songs, and playing! The Bands are as follow, [Abcde] (pronounced Absity,) Bonnie Wood and the Breaks, Driver23, Fed of Me, Fuel Injected Norbies, KLS, Jared Gomez, and Suicide Silhoutte. And there are still more bands with whom we are working with. 2011 should be a very productive year.
Unfortunately things did not work out with some other bands that we invested time, money, and effort in, but the pay off was soo much better!!! The experience gained is priceless.
We take time to thank the people in the studio recording for us, namely, Damian Rodriguez, Bill Frase at Studio 1400 in San Antonio, TX. Charlie Vela at Charlie Vela Studio in Edinburg, and, last but not least, our Dark Pony Records crew, Ez, Jared, and Leo.
Bonnie Wood has her first album "Amorous Affliction" finished and mastered. Driver23 is in the studio recording their eighth song. Fed of Me, KLS, and [Abcde] have their first EP finished and mastered.
Dark Pony records will be throwing some shows later this month of November, with monthly CD release events, as well.
We are so looking forward to seeing you at our shows. Especially the bands that have been working very hard!

My how time flies when you're having fun! We are back to our old tricks again, in the studio recording with Gene Fjerstad. He is an awesome writer and performer that has written enough songs for 5 albums. We are currently working on one! We are also in the process of building a new studio which will be ready soon!

Hey Dear Friends! Got some great news!!! First of all I want to thank Jake Cortez for using us to run sound for him. It has been the best three months we have had in the longest time. It is a very good feeling to work with such a great professional. We have been asked to run sound for his band, Recipe for Trouble in Las Vegas on Friday September 15, 2006 in celebration of Mexico Independence day 16 de Septiembre. Jake will be opening for the world renown rock band Los Jaguares from Mexico. We are looking forward to it, especially being that a lot of Jake's friends and fans will be there that evening. It is so great to see such a following. I'll be adding a page dedicating it only to Jake's gigs and you may have already seen the links to his website and his My Space account. Please go by and visit his site, and come see us play. You will not be disappointed. Fuel Injected Norbies are still recording, as well as Tom and Just plain Trouble. They have some awesome new songs coming out soon.
Got some bad news and some great news! I apologize to all our friends and fans, as for no apparent reason Peppers has chosen to cancel all of our gigs. That's o.k. We'll leave up the Gig Flyers so that you can see what they canceled. Jake Cortez invited us to sit in with him at Coconuts at the Island for 4ph of July 2006. Keep You Posted!
It's all in the Kink!
The Fuel Injected Norbies are going into politics. We're tired of the same old fat bastards taking our parents money. By the time we're all grow'd up they leave us little , if anything!! We are taking our state back, and Kinky is our Candidate. Please contact me if you want to vote or support Kinky in our campaign. We have to get 45,400 some odd signatures of registered voters on a petition so Kinky can be placed on the Ballot. We don't have much time, till May 11th of 2006. So, please help us move on to victory!!!! Click on his moniker above and go to his website for more info!!!

The show was very good. Thanks to all who came out and participated. We're al Winners! Laters!!

The Fuel Injected Norbies:
The New Demo is Here!!! Demo for a Day featuring songs from Leslie Wood, Vatos Locos and the Fuel Injected Norbies. Read on for song list. As you may have heard we are currently working on Concert Tour to the Ukraine for late summer early fall of 2005. Please come out and support us.
The Norbies have a Great Sax Player. His name is Poncho Vega hailing from the historical and almost famous Lozano, TX. He plays a mean sax. We'll be playing in Brownsville for spring break at the UTB Campus. We'll keep you posted with more info as it is made available to us. Come out and see us!
We finally finished the first demo and it will be available next week. I think we're going to call it "Demo for a Day. " We are also currently in the studio working on our first studio album. It is a very ambitious endeavor and everyone is writing material for this project. Ez has three songs already written along the metal genre. Jared is working on more progressive music and he has four songs ready. Norbe is sticking to the blues and Rock. He has seven songs ready. By far the richest one is Israel. He has about 16 songs ready to be recorded and they are all alternative songs. We are going to release these recordings along with the Xero Sessions we recorded with Pablo last summer. He wrote the lyrics and the Norbies wrote the music. Props to him. He is getting credit for his work.
Thanks Dark Pony Records, namely Jared, for recording our 5 song EP that will be out by the end of March 2005. We have decided to follow this format and release two more EP's before we release our album. All original compositions on the EPs and will continue working with that format on our upcoming projects leading up to our album. Keep posted, Dark Pony Records and Entertainment is an established entity and will be releasing local band's music to the Rio Grande Valley and the world. Word is, from a very reliable source, Vatos Locos are going to record @ Dark Pony Records.
What the heck is it with local bands and Cover Songs? The only thing that comes to mind is what every other great band that is out there that state that the only reason why they started playing original songs was because they sucked at playing cover songs. We're a Rock and Roll Band, it's in our blood! We play a variety of good songs for a good time. Will play for food!

OUR FREEDOM IS IN YOU HANDS!
OUR HOPE AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU

The Norbies were at the studio practicing when I got a call from my good friend Mike Kester telling me that Isaac Guerra was looking for me to invite me to Espana cause "Al Di Meola is having dinner and performing at Espana tonight". Al Di Meola, world renown guitar wizard was in town at Hermes Music for the Ovation Clinic. Now, I do not like to go to clinics because of the crowd, I can't stand too many people and the stupid questions that they ask. (What size guitar picks do you use in the winter?).
Espana does not only have great cuisine, but it is a very comfortable setting for me. We rushed through practice, fyi, Ez, is and I got a great arrangement of Rosalie (a Bob Seger song) and the Cowboy Song (Thin Lizzy song) that you will soon be catching us play live. After practice I picked up my digital camera, my 1976 Ibanez Custom Artist SG, and walked out the door. I went over to Isaac's back patio for a once in a lifetime event. It was a perfect evening! Isaac was kind enough to provide me with some of the pics he took and I got some as well,... see for yourself.
